Overview

Blueprint Solution's enhanced email editor puts the power of customization in your hands. With graphic-based email marketing templates, you can create captivating designs that will grab your audience's attention from the moment they open your email. Whether you want to personalize headers and footers, seamlessly add images and buttons, or shape the layout to match your vision, the possibilities are endless.

Managing email headers and footers

Email headers and footers can be designed for branding purposes and to provide information about your company, display a logo, link to a website, and include custom translations. 

Access custom headers and footers for your email templates by navigating to Setup > Templates > Email headers and footers. 

From this screen, you can do the following:  

  • Use QuickFind search to easily locate a template.

  • Select a Template type from the drop-down menu to filter by headers or footers.

  • Select a Language from the drop-down menu to filter templates by language.

  • Create newEdit, Duplicate, Preview, or Deactivate email headers and footers 

  • You can also edit header/footer translations and launch the template editor.

Viewing marketing email templates

Access the list of marketing email templates by navigating to Setup > Templates > Marketing > Email.

Gain visibility into the following key components:

  • Sending email address: This is the sending email address for all marketing email campaigns. By changing this email address, you will also be changing the email address for marketing automation.

  • Quick Find Search: This tool can be used to easily find the campaign you're looking for

  • Language drop-down menu: This tool allows you to filter campaigns by translation

The table of templates includes:

  • Template name

  • Template translations

  • Header and footer templates

  • Details of the template's most recent modification (date, time, and user)

Creating a new marketing email template

Navigate to Setup > Marketing > Email and select Create new. Then, follow these steps:

  1. Give the template a unique name 

Optionally,

  • Select the header template. The selected header will be added to the top of the email 

  • Select the footer template. The selected footer will be added to the bottom of the email

  1. Click Save

Editing translations

Defaulting to your system's language, the editor offers extensive translation editing capabilities.

To add a new language, R-click the email template > edit template translations > select the paper + pencil icon to modify the translation and/or subject line.

Use the drop-down menu to introduce a new language template.

Launching the template editor

Edit your email headers, footers, and templates by Launching the template editor. Activate the template editor by r-clicking the template > launch template editor.

This action opens the Online Email Editor in a new browser window. Unleash your creativity and customize the email template with the following comprehensive set of features:

  • Columns

  • Headings

  • Text

  • Images

  • Buttons

  • Dividers

  • HTML

  • Menus

  • Clinic logo

Optionally, add blocks and further customize the body of the email. By editing the body you can modify the following:

  • Text color

  • Background color

  • Content width and alignment

  • Font family and weight 

  • Add a preheader text (a preheader is the short summary text that follows the subject line when viewing an email from the inbox. 

  • Link color and underline

Use Merge Tags within a text block to dynamically pull data into your template from your Blueprint OMS relating to your clinic details, recipient information, or marketing-related information. Merge tags replace previously used Merge Fields on old templates in Blueprint OMS. 

When selecting the email content, you can view your template in Desktop or Mobile mode. Doing so will allow you to verify that all styling options you’ve included will respond on both desktop and mobile devices.

Once you have customized the template as desired, select Save within the online email editor. You should receive a confirmation dialog indicating that the email translation has been successfully saved. 

Duplicating templates

Duplicating a template is beneficial in cases where you want to keep the template layout the same, but need to modify the text to serve a different language. Upon clicking the duplicate icon, the online email editor will launch a new window in your browser. If there is an existing translation that you'd like to duplicate R-click the template name > duplicate.

Previewing templates

To preview a template, R-click the email template > preview. Doing so will launch a new window in your browser to view, but not edit the template. 

Deleting translations

To delete a translation, R-click the email template > edit template translations > R-click the language you want to delete > delete.

You cannot delete the default translation. Please create a new default before deleting this one.

Using custom email templates with marketing automation campaigns

Attach your custom email templates to your marketing automation campaigns under Setup > Marketing automation > select a campaign > Edit details (or right-click a campaign > Edit details). 

Activate the ‘Email campaign’ component and choose your desired email template from the drop-down menu > click Update. 

The selected email template will now be used with this marketing automation campaign. 

Using custom email templates with manual marketing campaigns

Once you have composed a list of customers to contact through a manual marketing campaign, from the Selected patients tab > click Send email. Select your desired email template from the available listing, and click Send email.
