Overview of filtering and coloring

You can filter the appointments in the scheduling system to display a subset of appointments. Using the filtering panel in the upper left area of the scheduling screen, you can filter appointments by:

  • Provider
  • Resource
  • Appointment type
  • Appointment status

Filtering vs. Coloring

Appointments are usually color-coded based on the selected filter (Appointment type, provider, resource). However, you can select the Color by appointment type check box to color by appointment type, while still using the selected filter.

Filtering by provider

  1. Click the Filter by drop-down arrow, and select People
  2. Select the check box beside the provider whose appointments you would like to see, and uncheck the others.

Filtering by resource

  1. Click the Filter by drop-down arrow, and select Resources.
  2. Select the check box beside the resources whose appointments you would like to see, and uncheck the others.

Filtering by appointment type

  1. Click the Filter by drop-down arrow, and select Event type.
  2. Select the check box beside the event types whose appointments you would like to see, and uncheck the others.

If you want to color code the appointments by appointment type, but keep the filtering by provider or resource, click the Color by appointment type check box.

Filtering by appointment status

  1. Click the Status drop-down arrow and select at status.
The schedule displays only appointments which match the selected status.

The appointment status filter is applied in addition to other filters (e.g. clinic, provider). If you selecting <Any> all appointments matching the other filters are displayed, regardless of appointment status.
