Messaging Center & Patient Messaging Tab
The Messaging Center serves as a centralized hub for all communications, with filtering options available by location and message status. To enhance efficiency and professionalism, features such as text snippets, Blueprint AI, and dictation tools are readily accessible.
New Privileges available: “View SMS messages”, “Send SMS messages”, & “Delete SMS messages”. More info here.
You can access the Messaging center in the left-hand toolbar of Blueprint OMS. Only users with the “View SMS messages” privilege will have access to the Messaging center.
A red bubble icon indicates how many unanswered conversations there are. A green bubble icon indicates how many unanswered conversations are assigned to you.
Start a conversation
There are two different places where a conversation can be initiated.
Click New conversation at the bottom of the messaging center.
Open a patient file and navigate to the Messaging tab. Click New Conversation.
In the messaging center, you will need to select a patient from the prompt > click Ok.
In the next prompt, you will be asked to confirm the sending location number and the destination patient number. If necessary, you may also update this information. Click Ok.
A draft message will start until you click send. Click within the message box to start composing or double-click a text snippet to insert it quickly. To use voice input, optionally click the dictation icon to begin voice-to-text messaging. (more here) 
Only text snippet categories marked as “For Interactive SMS” will appear. (more here) Minimize or maximize the text snippet panel by clicking the blue arrow.

Reply | Unsure how to reply to a message? Click reply and have Blueprint AI write a response for you. Conversation with patient Reply using Blueprint AI

Dictation | Dictation will utilize your computer’s default dictation software. (Please note that transcribed text will not appear on the screen while you are speaking; it will be displayed once you have finished.) In order for dictation to work on a Mac, you need to ensure that dictation is enabled. |
Emojis | Click the smiley face to choose an emoji |
Insert clinic name | Click the card icon to insert the clinic name into the message |
Insert user signature | Click the person icon to insert a user signature into the message |
Note | To add an internal message to coworkers that is only available in Blueprint, you can switch from Message to Note. These show up in yellow message bubbles within a text thread.

Once you click send, the message will be sent to the patient’s mobile device. The conversation can now be found under the <All> and Answered section of the Messaging center, as well as on the patient Messaging tab.
Receiving an SMS from an unsaved mobile number
If receiving an SMS from a mobile number that is not saved in any patient record, the conversation thread will be automatically flagged with a No linked patient tag.
Right-click on the conversation thread to take an action such as:
