Overview

CareCredit can verify if patients prequalify for a credit offer using the QuickScreen. This prequalification step does not affect their credit score. It just helps them see if they are probable to be approved when they apply for the CareCredit credit card. If they accept the credit offer, they will fill out the application, and the hard inquiry might impact their credit score.

Enable QuickScreen

  1. Click Setup on the main toolbar.

  2. Click CareCredit.

  3. Click Enable QuickScreen.

  4. Do the following:

    • Enter the QuickScreen pre-approval period. This is the number of days before an appointment you want the pre-approval process to take place.

    • Select the event types that should trigger the pre-approval process.

  5. Click Update.
